...

I have been frenetically knitting. Something for the little guy, so that it would go fast. That is about all interesting going on here.
The yellow daffodils are called narcis in Czech. I wonder why.

My first visit at your blog!
There are such beautiful colours in your knitting. Is it going to be a cardigan or a sweater?
Daffodils are "narsissi" in Finnish, too!

Narciso in Italian too.
The name derives from the greek narkao=paralyze, as this flower was believed to stun if smelled.
You have to be careful with this flower apparently is toxic.
Nice knitting...I'm frenetically knit too these days...
Have a good week.

My 13 yo says that it comes from the greek myth of Narcissus: the first narciso/daffodil flower grew by the river where Narcissus died. Happy knitting!

I love that wonderful tablecloth with the folk style flowers. I am buying daffodils as well; it is still snowing here, a bit tiresome I must say. The flowers make me feel like it's spring in my house. I am off to Vancouver Island at the end of the month to visit my parents. My mom is not doing well, so, I need to go and see her a bit more often.

Dear girls,
thanks for assuring me that Czech is not so weird language in regard to naming flowers.
The knitting is going to be a little vest for my little guy.
