Rome, you are so beautiful.

We also went to Rome on this Italian trip. Two days, tired of traveling, it was pretty, nevertheless. I was more aware of the Ancient Roman past poking out everywhere, still present. And the Egyptian past, considering all those Egyptian obelisks. I used to be a diligent art historian student studying Baroque art when I was there last time and neglected all this period. Now, that I don't care so much, I find myself more observing than before. (I also have my husband with me, who pays attention to everything).

Arezzo

Here are more pictures from our Italian trip. It is our third, no wait, fourth Italian trip that we did as a family. This time we took the train from Torino and went down half of the country to Tuscany, Arezzo. It was a Piero della Francesca hunt. The little guy survived, again. He actually started liking parts of our trips when we were outside and he asked lot of questions, the little curious guy. We are good at taking these trips in the worst weather. Ultimately, it has its advantages. Not many tourists to no people at all. Oh, those cheap airplane tickets and damned airbnb services, they ruin all the pleasures of experiencing the foreign countries in their pure qualities, don't they? Yeah, yeah, our airbnb apartment was pretty good...

The 8th picture is from the show of Wael Shawky in Fondazione Merz in Turin. Part of the film were these crazy African structures of - I dont have a slight idea of what it is, I guess I can find on the internet easily but I dont need to know that badly. Yet another contribution to experiencing architecture during our trip.
