The winner is....

number 11
At-swim-two-birds!
Congratulations!

And thank you to all the others who showed a nice interest in having something that I made. I would like to give something to every one of you, so there might be another similar thing going on soon. It was also an unintended inquiry on what you like the most and it made me know what I should make more of. There is something under construction on my table right now.

Other than that, I have had less time for blogging these days as I have started to work a little. Yes, a little. I am deciding whether I want to send my little guy to kindergarten or rather not yet. I like our days at home. But he needs other kids and I need to focus on something else, too.

O happy Renilde :)

Kindergarten can be good. I had a lot of doubts when both of my kids was about to begin. It wasen´t easy always but over all they had a nice time I think.

Lovely photo!

I know Matias has a great time at the kindergarden and it has helped him develop other skills that he wouldn't have done if he had been at home alone with me.I believe that socializing is important specially when there is no other siblings at home.

However I like the idea of not having a full week at the kindergarden but maybe 3 or 4 days only. Can you ask to work maybe 70 or 80% at least for one year? That gives you the freedom to decide. I am going to do that (and this prolongs my working contract too!)

Good luck!

Hope your little boy will find his niche soon in the kindergarten, it will be a good thing for you both. Enjoy your new projects!

Sounds like a little time at kindergarden will be good for both. What kind of work is it?

ah Renilde so lucky...I think you should do what feels right for yourself...it's not the quantity of time you spend with your boy it's the quality. A happy mum makes a happy child...

It's so hard to know when to start them...our littlest starts in September...but I try to squeeze in time when she's sleeping at nap time and in the evening.

My job so far isnt worth mentioning, I help to put together an exhibition catalogue but I only do a sort of technical background. All of this with a hope for a better future for me at the same people.

Socializing skills, I agree that he will not learn that at home. But I also wish he doesnt have to stay at school all day long from the very beginning.

Congratulations to the happy winner!

Magda, I'm sure with time you will find out the best balance of work and day-care for your family. But from what I have seen with my kids is that bringing them to the day care is much more of a struggle for me than what going there is for them. Still I like the vacation times best, when we are all together.

Happy moments of working for you!

Good for you for working a bit. It is nice to just do something that is different than being a mom. I am certain Dominik will enjoy being around other children and you will most definitely enjoy having some time to yourself - even if it is working! Ha, too funny, the confirm word for this comment is 'raining'. Perfect

I remember the first days leaving my babies at kindergarden I couln't keep my mind in ease... but after a moment I was happy to return into close and undivided attention. They seemed happy to go there too.
And It's even better to have time together after this !
