Ecological

These pants are made of an old sweatshirt bought second hand and never worn. It was enough to make two pairs, one in the collage picture bottom right (the pocket on the back was originally on the chest), the second pair (upper left) I sew out of sleeves putting a kind of patch on the bag so that I would fill the missing material. These PJ’s that Dominik has been wearing now inspired me to do that. The stretch belt was originally the hem of the neck and fits perfectly his round belly now.

Pants have been the only pieces of clothes that I have been sewing for my little guy. I don't need any pattern for them, I cut them after the old pants. It pleases me to use up the old clothes that I have that I don't want to throw away and don't know otherwise what to do with that. Also, I feel very ecological making clothes like that, almost ready to make Dominik pose for me in between the backdrops of our dilapidated apartement.

this is amazing. i am very impressed. makes me think i have wasted a lot of clothing in the past that i could be recycling into new clothes for the kids. well, most often i give old clothes to others who can use them, but still...makes me think.

Hezké! Škoda, že už je to moje dítě tak velké... Tak se alespoň chystám na výrobu zvířátek ze starých svetrů a ponožek. Jestli k tomu nedojde až v důchodu, ten čas nějak moc letí.

What a great job you did with that. I used to make my sons pants too when they were little - i had this favorite pattern. Dominik is getting bigger every month. Little ones change so much that first couple of years.

Hi there love what you have made your little one, he's a sweetie. Have made my daughter one or two dressing up outfits in the past, but that is as far as it goes. As for knitting, I can knit, but like you, am very slow and tend to get bored before it is finished! Sad about stealing from that pretty little church. I am sure it happens all over the world. Here our churches are locked and you cannot just wander in when passing for a quiet 5 minutes. Such a shame and a sign of the times we live in. Dev X
