Poems of the Night

A book cover that I like. Vítězslav Nezval, Básně noci, graphic layout Lucie Weisbergrová, Praha 1966.

Don't miss that the word Básně - Poems is written under the paper cover of the book.

The great thing is that the book cover truly does evoke a feeling of evening and nightime - I can see why you like it, it's modern with a fantastic graphic element in the type set used for the title.

Very nice. I like different ways of using the space of a page.

Yes, it is like light and dark.

Its a beautiful cover. I feel nowadays it is challenging to find inspiring book covers which make you want to pick up the book at the library or book store.

Hello,

The person who designed this book happens to be my grand'mother. I now live in Switzerland, and it is delightful for my whole family to see people still caring about her fabulous work.

Thanks for posting!

Oh, thank you. Please, give my best regards to your grandmother. She has made many beautiful covers.

Hello again,

Unfortunately, my grand'mother passed away in 2000, but she's surely hearing your regards over there!

Oh, you seem to have other book covers of hers. Do you have an email address where I can contact you?
