Sweater for this winter

This time it took only a second to persuade him to put his new sweater on. Strangely, he liked it right away and likes wearing it ever since. How happier could the knitter be? The pattern comes from some magazine, if anyone interested I will post which issue, it is originally a German magazine from Burda. The yarn is, as I have announced several times, from handpaintedyarn.com. I am little curious whether the colors blend after I will wash it. Anyway, it probably wouldn't harm the sweater.

And I cast on a new one the same day. I take delight in this garter stitch on thick needles and with even thicker merino. Again, handpaintedyarn.com. Take a closer look by clicking on the picture.

That is a very nice sweater. I would wear it all the time if it was my size. As for knydly, my mother made them. The country is Ukraine. Although that is not were I have ever lived.

It's wooly sweater time here too:(
It's a very nice braided pattern, perfect for a boy. I especially like the mossy green and bluish of your new work in progress, beautiful!

P.K.: I see, I can understand now your delight in food and having or being company at the table, not that I know much about Ukraine but I imagine it is similar to the way they are in Slovakia. I hope I don't sound too silly.

my edges, would it be OK to explain in Czech? I am not familiar with the English knitting vocabulary....

It would be great if you could explain your edges, I would be so happy even if you write in Czech- I feel a bit rusty in your language but I would have a perfect oportunity to pick Czech up again (I'd love to do it)

Thank you so much!

I think my mum used to knit like that if I remeber correctly. I just gave it a try (I'm working on a little teddy bear for Gaia) and the edge does look much better! I will have lots of pieces to sew together so I hope that with neat edges it won't give me a headache... (I truly hate sewing finished knitting pieces...)

Thank you so much!
